Alan Wake II will receive free content after the release and two story DLC – will be released in Russian

Remedy Studio has published answers to some questions about Alan Wake IIrevealing new information about the game in addition to that was announced during the show at the PlayStation Showcase 2023.

  • You don’t need to play the original Alan Wake, Control, or the AWE expansion to fully understand the sequel’s story.. Alan Wake II is a standalone game, but fans who are interested in this universe are encouraged to check out Control and its add-on.
  • At the moment, there are no plans to release the game on physical media.. The project will appear at the start only in digital format. • The Deluxe Edition will cost $70 ($60 on PC) but will include additional content, including the Season Pass, Saga’s Scandinavian Shotgun Skin, Alan’s Parliamentary Shotgun Skin, Saga’s Crimson Windbreaker, Alan’s Celebrity Outfit, and the form of a lantern for the Saga.

  • Pre-order bonuses include Alan’s Revolver Pattern Skin and Saga’s Survival Resource Pack.
  • The game will receive official Russian translation of subtitles.
  • After the release, the game will continue to be supported by free content and the release of two paid add-ons. Extensions will be named “night keys” and “Lake house‘, but details about them have not yet been disclosed.
  • Alan Wake II is built on the latest version of its own Northlight Engine.

The game will be released on October 17th. Pre-orders are already open.
