American corporation Dell permanently leaves Russia and dismisses the entire staff, write MASS MEDIA.
Dell was the largest supplier of servers to the Russian market, holding a share in 21%but suspended shipments six months ago. August 30 the company will finally stop working in Russia.
According to sources, employees of the sales and marketing department who worked in the Moscow office, as well as technical specialists from the St. Petersburg development center, will fall under the reduction. It’s about 450 human.
It is noted that the dismissed staff will be paid as compensation up to eight salaries, and high-level specialists – nine.. In addition, employees will be given equipment (laptops, monitors) free of charge, some will be paid a bonus, and they will also leave VHI (voluntary medical insurance) for the family until the end of this year.
Dell had plans to develop a development center in St. Petersburg, but now, as reported, the corporation is actively developing a development center in Poland. Relocation was not offered to any of the Russian employees.
