Apple may still introduce the iPhone 14 Mini

Apple will hold its event next month to announce the new iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8, as well as the entry-level 10th generation iPad. Apple plans to release four iPhone 14 models, but there won’t be a “mini” iPhone. There are fragmentary rumors today that one of Apple’s biggest channel partners is preparing to launch new iPhone 14 and iPad models, including the iPhone 14 mini and the 10.2-inch iPad. The news was shared by Evan Blass of 91Mobiles, suggesting that Apple’s distribution partner is gearing up for future iPhone 14 models. This may come as a surprise at this point because we’ve been hearing for almost a year that Apple will be ditching the iPhone 14 mini in favor of the larger iPhone 14 Max. True, it’s worth recalling that Evan Blass has an impressive track record and has previously reported on numerous Android smartphones, as well as the iPhone 12 and HomePod mini before launch.

In addition to the iPhone 14 mini, the report also mentions the 10th generation 10.2-inch iPad. We previously reported on the news shared by display analyst Ross Young that Apple’s 10th generation iPad will feature a 10.5-inch display. In addition, the tablet will undergo a major redesign with flat edges. Demand for Apple’s iPhone 13 mini remains low compared to other models. This could see Apple ditch the petite iPhone in favor of the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max. Finally, the latest report also suggests that Apple will announce the new iPad 10 in September. In contrast, Gourmet reports that Apple will announce new iPad and Mac models in October.
