October 14 in the online cinema Apple TV+ the premiere of the seriesShantaram(in the Marathi dialect – “peaceful person”). Work on the show has been underway since 2018, starring Charlie Hunnam.
“Shantaram” will be a film adaptation of the bestseller of the same name Gregory David Robertstelling the story of an Australian prisoner named Lyn Ford. A convict escapes from prison and tries to get lost in the busy and chaotic Bombay (former name of Mumbai) of the 1980s.
Left alone in an unfamiliar city, Lin tries to avoid trouble. Having fallen in love with the enigmatic and mysterious woman Carla, the hero must make a choice between freedom or love and the difficulties that come with it.
Steve Lightfoot is the showrunner and Bharat Nalluri is the executive producer and director. Involved in production Paramount Television Studios and AC Studios.
Initially, three episodes will be released on the platform, and subsequent ones will appear on the service every Friday until December 16th. In total, Shantaram has 12 episodes.
