ASRock Launches Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX OC in US

Just a few days ago, ASRock launched its Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX OC graphics card in the Chinese market for $150, which was cheaper than most retailers in Asia Pacific where AMD cards are listed. Now, ASRock has officially become the first manufacturer to launch the Intel Arc A380 Discrete Graphics Card in the US market. The ASRock Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX OC graphics card is a special design Mini-ITX factory overclocked. It’s worth noting that this card costs $10 less than AMD’s Radeon RX 6400 graphics cards, which start at $149.99, and are much cheaper than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1630s, which start at $179.99.

The cards are expected to go on sale on August 22 or next week and are currently available for pre-orders. Even comparing this to the Asia-Pacific prices, the price of the graphics card is much lower compared to the GUNNIR A380 Photon and JD.com prices in the US for the same ASRock model. The Intel Arc graphics card offers more video memory capacity (6GB vs 4GB), an AV1 encoder shown to outperform NVIDIA and AMD, support for XeSS and ray tracing, and will ship with an overclocked design out of the box. The card is now the cheapest entry-level option for 2022 that you can find among models like the GTX 1630, RX 6400 and RX 6500 XT. In general, performance is more or less good in games that support DX12/Vulkan, but a little lower in older games. Overall, both cards should deliver decent GPU performance for entry-level gamers.
