CD Projekt RED has big plans for Cyberpunk 2077 – Polish developers will not limit themselves to one game

Studio CD Projekt RED intends to continue to develop the universe Cyberpunk 2077. On the original game and upcoming Phantom Liberty story expansion developers won’t stop. The corresponding information was confirmed by the senior vice president CD Projekt business development Michal Nowakowski at the last meeting with investors.

As Novakovsky explained, the studio has already invested a lot of effort and resources in this universe, so in the future the franchise will definitely be actively developed, including outside the gaming sphere.

“As for questions about additions for Cyberpunk 2077, we decided to focus on the development of one large addon [Phantom Liberty]which actively uses all the features of the current generation of consoles.

At the same time, I note that we are actively involved in the Cyberpunk brand, including outside the upcoming addon. A huge amount of effort and time has already been invested in this universe, so the company is clearly interested in developing the franchise by creating new stories, experiences and content that also go beyond the gaming sphere alone. I can’t be more specific right now.

In short, the game will have only one major expansion, but other content is planned to be released in the future,” said Michal Nowakowski.

Recall that in addition to the Phantom Liberty expansion, Polish developers are working now on the new part of The Witcher on the Unreal Engine 5and also prepare some secret AAA-level project that may be related to Cyberpunk 2077.
