Multi-part thriller “Death row” with Chris Pratt starring may get a sequel. The actor is already in talks with Amazon about the second season of the show.
This was stated in a recent interview with the British newspaper Daily Mail by the executive producer of the series. Jack Carr.
“Chris wants to do it, and Amazon wants to do it. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but it would be an eight-part series based on the second True Believer book. Let’s see how things play out.”
Carr also noted that the second season is going to introduce several subplots that will reduce the burden on Pratt as a central actor.
“Last time we almost killed Chris! He shouldered the brunt of the show, but never complained. He was in almost every scene. It was a lot of work. I developed a couple of subplots to take the pressure off him in the sequel “.
Death List is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by former Navy SEAL Jack Carr. The series follows U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander James Rees (Pratt) as he seeks revenge for the murder of his family.
The first season received mixed reviews from critics, but proved to be a success in terms of viewers. In its first full week, the series ranked second on the list of most watched shows in the US, garnering 1.6 billion minutes of views.
