Already next fall, new AMD, Intel processors and motherboards for them will start. If in the case of Intel they keep the LGA1700 socket, the same one used in the boards for Alder Lake, then AMD will replace the “old man” AM4 with AM5. The kit includes a long Phillips screwdriver, four metal brackets, a fan, a set of socket screws, a reinforcing plate, a step-down fan adapter, a tube of thermal paste, and instructions with a diagram for assembling.

Appearance

The basis of the tower structure is a massive radiator with five copper nickel-plated tubes with a diameter of 6 mm.

On one side, the edge of the plates is even, on the other side with cutouts in a checkerboard pattern. This reduces the resistance to air flow, increases the efficiency of blowing and reduces noise.

In the upper part there is a decorative panel consisting of a silver base and a black overlay with a mesh pattern with square cells and the brand logo occupying a limited part of its area.

A 120mm DeepCool FK120 fan with adjustable rotation speed from 500 to 1850 rpm is responsible for active airflow. The rotation speed can be reduced by connecting a step-down adapter.

Its body is made of black plastic with a matte finish. Vibration-dampening rubber corners around the edges.

Assembly

The first step fixed the reinforcing plate with knurled screws. Support bars are installed on them.

The complete thermal paste is applied to the processor cover and evenly distributed over it. It will be necessary to remove the fan and decorative trim from the tower structure. And through a hidden channel, using a complete screwdriver, evenly press the heatsink to the processor.

We return the decorative overlay and install the fan back by connecting it to the corresponding connector on the motherboard.

Tests

To begin with, let’s measure the noise in an open stand at a distance of 50 centimeters with the synthetic load turned on. An excellent result, in normal operation it will not be heard in a closed case.

Tested with an Intel Core i5-12600K processor with a frequency increased to 5000 MHz. The load was created with AIDA64 active CPU / FPU. The average temperature was 80 degrees.
