DJI introduced the new drone Avata

DJI has released a new cinematic drone called the Avata, which was designed to work with the new DJI Goggles 2 video headset. Although it falls into the same category as the brand’s previous POV cinematic drone, it takes on a more conventional form. -factor with protective shrouds protecting its four propellers. Because it’s the latest development, Avata has been designed to be fast and agile, but with the stabilization technology you need to get smooth, vibrant footage. The drone can hover, accelerate, move in and out of tight spaces while shooting video, and its battery can last up to 18 minutes before needing to be recharged. Avata is equipped with a stabilized camera with a 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor with 48 million effective pixels, f/2.8 aperture and an ultra wide-angle lens.

This camera is capable of shooting 4K video at 60 fps and 2.7K video at 50, 60, 100 or 120 fps. And users can shoot quite a lot of footage before worrying about space since the drone has 20GB of onboard storage. While it can be controlled using the existing DJI FPV 2 remote controller and DJI FPV Goggles V2, the drone has been designed to be used with newer controllers. The DJI Goggles 2 is a next-generation video headset with a sharper micro-OLED screen than its predecessor and adjustable diopter so people who wear glasses won’t need them when using the device. It can wirelessly stream live footage of the drone from the user’s phone or computer for an immersive first-person view.
