Game designer Naoki Yoshidaengaged in the development of a multiplayer role-playing game Final Fantasy XIV and producing Final Fantasy XVI, dreams of creating another all-new MMO before the end of his career. The producer and developer spoke about this in an interview with media representatives.
As Yoshida explained, his hands are now completely occupied by Final Fantasy XIV — full support for this project will continue for at least another 10 years. However, the developer is already looking to the future, exploring various modern technologies and thinking about his next big game along the way.
“I’m a game designer, so I’m always thinking about ideas for new games. It would be incorrect to voice them now, but this situation seems to be typical for all people in my profession. I just like playing games. Even though I don’t have anything concrete in my hands right now, I dream in the future, before the end of my career, to launch another new MMORPG, created completely from scratch, “admitted the game designer.
Recall that now Final Fantasy XIV is in a transitional period. The project is gradually preparing for a new chapter of its life, which will launch the next major story arc.
Previously, Final Fantasy XIV officially became the most financially successful entry in the series.
