First Shrek Console Game in 12 Years: DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing Announced

For the first time in 12 years, a new console game will be released with Shrek. Gamemill Entertainment has announced a race DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing from studio developers Bamtang Gamesresponsible for the Nickelodeon Kart Racers series.

The project will offer arcade racing on maps with cartoon characters DreamWorks. A total of 20 playable characters will be available, including Shrek and Puss in Boots, Po and Tigress from Kung Fu Panda, Boss Baby, and Hiccup and Astrid from “How to Train Your Dragon“.

Tracks will run through the locations of each of the franchises, including far far away kingdom from “Shrek”, the city of Bergen from “trolls“, the spirit realm from Kung Fu Panda, the BabyCo corporation from “Boss Baby“and the New York Zoo from”Madagascar“.

In addition, characters from the Trolls will act as race drivers for each race, and players will be able to pick them up along the way to ride with them and improve their abilities.

DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing will be available in a Standard Edition at a price $40 and in extended digital $50which will include two exclusive maps and a turtle character Ugway from “Kung Fu Panda“and Wolf from”Puss in Boots“. Shrek last appeared in console games in 2011 in Puss in Bootswhich was released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii, as well as in the previous DreamWorks series race – DreamWorks Super Star Kartz by Activision.
