Ghost ship will land on PS5: Native version of Man of Medan horror for new Sony console found on PSN


Interactive horror The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan can fully reach PlayStation 5. This is indicated by an update to the PSN database, where discovered traces of the native version of the game for the new generation Sony console.

Man of Medan was originally released in 2019 and is the first installment in The Dark Pictures horror anthology series in development. Until Dawn – Studio Supermassive Games. So far, the series has already released three games, including Little Hope (2020) and House of Ashes (2021), and in November, another episode called The Devil in Me will be released, which will end the first season of the franchise.

Now Man of Medan works on nextgen consoles only for backwards compatibility, but apparently, soon the project will be fully optimized for the possibilities PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Probably, the release of the improved version of Man of Medan will be timed to coincide with the new collection with the complete first season of The Dark Pictures Anthology, although the developers have not yet officially announced such plans.


The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me will go on sale November 18th. At the Future Games Show presentation at Gamescom 2022 it was shown fresh gameplay trailer for the game.

According to the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account, along with Man of Medan, the nextgen patch is also should get The Dark Pictures: Little Hope.
