Studio Teamkill Media canceled the release of space horror Amount of Error on PlayStation 4. Version of the game for the previous generation cancelled.
The developers explained that Quantum Error was sharpened from the very beginning under PlayStation 5. A pastegen version was planned however, in the process, they came to the conclusion that the PS4 did not have the capabilities to make a port with the appropriate level of quality..
According to the studio, creating a PS4 version would require too many changes, including in terms of graphics, lighting and moreand given the difference in RAM and storage speeds, it would be a very different experience that doesn’t compare to the PS5 version and is unfair to PS4 players.
“The game we made was not possible on PS4,” the developers summed up.
In response to users, Teamkill Media also said that it would announce the release date in the near future. As for the version for PCthe studio is going to release it at some point in the future, but at the moment the developers are focused on releasing the game for PS5 and cannot yet say when the port will be ready. Version for Xbox Series X|S currently also remains without a release date, as the team difficulties arose with optimization due to “too slow” SSD consoles Micorosft.
