‘Marvel vs DC’: Mortal Kombat Creator Conducted a Poll Among Fans and Was Surprised by the Results


Head NetherRealm Studios and co-author Mortal Kombat Ed Boon conducted a poll on his Twitter page among fans, in which he invited them to vote for the most desirable project. The list provided four response options − Injustice 3licensed game Marvelcrossover Marvel vs DC and next Mortal Kombat.

The survey attracted more than 160 thousand users, and the crossover of universes turned out to be the most desired project among fans. Marvel and DCwith 40.9% of the vote. Mortal Kombat 12 followed in second place, and the least attractive was a standalone game licensed by Marvel.

The result surprised Boone.

“Um… What?!” the developer wrote.


A few years ago, Boone revealed that he had been in talks with Marvel to create a crossover game that would have its universe collide with the DC universe, but they weren’t successful.
