Almost 3 years have passed since Motorola revived the Razr line of smartphones – the brand’s developers presented us with Motorola Razr 2019. It was the first folding clamshell from the company. The lineup did take a break last year, but now the third generation Motorola Razr 2022 has been officially unveiled, with flagship specs and enough power to surpass the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The phone was unveiled alongside the X30 and S30 Pro, and the Motorola Razr 2022 brings the latest and greatest hardware starting with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, plus you also get Motorola’s MyUI 4.0.
The Motorola Razr 2022 also comes with a 2.7-inch outer screen with a Quick View display that offers a range of options such as taking selfies, controlling music, checking notifications and more. The main screen is a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a matte finish. You get access to Flex View, which allows you to partially fold the device and use two apps at the same time. Motorola also got rid of the ugly chin we’ve seen on previous phones and gave people a bigger screen and a slightly more modern look. On the back, you get a 50MP main camera with OIS. Unfortunately, the Chinese press release does not include information about the second sensor, but we assume that it is a 13MP ultra-wide sensor that will be used as a macro camera. On the front we have a 32MP front camera.
