MSI Sets Spatium M570 Pro PCIe 5.0 Record for Read/Write Speed

MSI is gearing up to launch its SSD called the Spatium M570 Pro PCIe 5.0, which should be shown on the booth at Computex in Taipei next week. It is worth recalling that the company recently showed its drive capable of demonstrating sequential read and write speeds of 12,000 MB / s and 10,000 MB / s, respectively. But since then, according to insiders, MSI has been able to increase the performance of the drive to set a speed record. The latest MSI benchmark results from CrystalDiskMark show that the Spatium M570 Pro achieves almost 14,200 MB/s in sequential reads and a bit over 12,000 MB/s in sequential writes. This is definitely a top-tier flagship drive that simply has no competitors in reality. However, it should be understood that the point is not only how fast the drive writes and reads – there are many more parameters, such as temperature, that you should pay attention to.

For example, the Spatium M570 Pro uses the Phison PS5026-E26 controller, which is expected to appear in most PCIe 5.0 SSDs released this year. In addition, the advanced drive also uses 232-layer NAND memory with a 2,400 MT/s interface. Like virtually every PCIe 5.0 SSD we’ve seen so far, the Spatium M570 Pro features a massive heatsink and vapor chamber plate to maintain stable performance under load – without a proper cooling solution, PCIe 5.0 SSDs simply overheat and won’t be able to achieve the coveted records.
