realme entered the Top 50 Global Brands by BrandZ


Google and Kantar jointly published the “Kantar BrandZ Chinese Global Brand Builders 2022 TOP 50” ranking. It debuted the trending tech brand realme for the first time, which also received a special award for “Best Newcomer for Balanced Growth”. Realme also became the youngest brand in the TOP 50 list.

realme was founded in August 2018. In just 3 years of its existence, the brand’s sales volumes in the global market exceeded 100 million devices: realme reached this mark faster than any other smartphone manufacturer. In 2021, it ranked among the top six smartphone brands in the world. This is how realme has gone from a modest little-known company to one of the world market leaders.

Over the past 4 years, realme has expanded its presence in the market by offering high-quality products with cutting-edge features and modern design to young users in 61 countries around the world. The company devotes a lot of time to research and development, for example, the realme 9i 5G model, a smartphone that supports the 5G standard available to everyone, is preparing to be released in the near future. In the next stages of development, realme will enter strategic markets to expand its influence.


The BrandZ Chinese Global Brand Builders TOP 50 is based on a survey of over 1 million users in 11 countries and a comprehensive analysis of Brand Awareness Rank, which is calculated from consumer survey data and search queries. In fact, this is a scale for measuring the international influence of Chinese brands, which enjoys authority and trust around the world. According to the report, realme is the youngest brand in the Top 50 list.

Across the 11 markets surveyed, realme’s brand awareness increased by 20% year-over-year, with seven of them growing by 70%. In this year’s ranking, realme, founded less than four years ago, debuted with a brand awareness score of 294, ranking 13th in the consumer electronics category. Developed markets account for 50% of realme’s brand awareness this year.
