At the beginning of the year Blizzard Entertainment announced the development of the game in the new universe. The project allegedly created for four years and in its early version played “many hours” by the head of the company Mike Ybarra.
It is officially known that the game is being prepared in the survival genre, but Blizzard Entertainment did not provide more details. Jazz Corden managed to find out the details of the project, and the journalist hastened to share them in a podcast The Xbox Two.
The insider notes that the information is based on a build that is several months out of date, so some data may be incorrect. Within the company, the nameless game is codenamed Odyssey. Visually, it looks like Everwildbut aesthetically resembles Fable Legends.
Blizzard Entertainment’s new development is a standard “survival” with building mechanics and traditional elements, including the use of a bow, arrows and lots of magic. It’s not like an MMO ARK: Survival Evolvedbut it also uses first-person view.
Players will be able to sell things created similar to Fallout 76, for example, open a potion shop and offer them to other users. The game world contains several complex fantasy machines, real “steam tanks” built with the help of alchemy.
When and on what platforms the new Blizzard Entertainment project will be released is not reported. Jez’s account of the Odyssey can be heard at 02:42:10.
