Sony spoke about the graphics modes in God of War: Ragnarok on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 4

Studio Sony Santa Monica posted information about the graphics modes that will be available in God of War: Ragnarok on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 4 consoles.

The PS5 version will offer the widest selection. The developers have prepared as many as six options.

  • Favor Performance – 1440-2160p dynamic resolution at up to 60 fps.
  • Favor Performance with High Frame Rate* – 1440p resolution at 60fps unlocked.
  • Favor Performance with High Frame Rate* and Variable Refresh Rate* options – 1440p resolution with 60fps unlocked.
  • Favor Quality – Native 2160p resolution at up to 30 frames per second.
  • Favor Quality with High Frame Rate option – 1800-2160p dynamic resolution with up to 40 frames per second.
  • Favor Quality with High Frame Rate* and Variable Refresh Rate* options – 1800-2160p dynamic resolution with 40fps unlocked.

On PS4 Pro, the game will offer two graphics and performance presets.

  • Favor Performance – 1080-1656p dynamic resolution with 30fps unlocked.
  • Favor Quality – 1440-1656p dynamic resolution at up to 30 frames per second.

The most meager choice, or rather, its complete absence, went to the version for the standard PS4. On the base console, the project will only run in 1080p at up to 30 frames per second and nothing else.

* To enable HFR and VRR, you need a compatible TV with an HDMI 2.1 connector.

God of War Ragnarok releases November 9th. Reviews and ratings will appear tonight.
