Sony announced a price increase PS5 in all regions except the US. In an official blog, the company explained its decision by changes in the global economy, including higher inflation rates..

The price of the console in Europe will increase by 50 euros, in the UK by 30 pounds, and in Japan by 5,000 yen.

United Kingdom

  • PS5 with disc drive – £479.99
  • PS5 Digital Edition – £389.99

Japan (since September 15, 2022)

  • PS5 with disc drive – 60,478 yen (including tax)
  • PS5 Digital Edition – 49,478 yen (including tax)

China


  • PS5 with disc drive – 4,299 yuan
  • PS5 Digital Edition – 3,499 yuan

Australia

  • PS5 – AU$799.95

Mexico

Recall that previously Sony refused comment on the likelihood of a PlayStation 5 cost increase when the company was asked about it.
