Star Trek 4 loses director due to Marvel


Producer Matt Scheckman dropped out of the fourth part”Star Trek” от Paramount Pictures.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reason was inconsistencies in the director’s production schedule. Shakman won’t be able to work on the project as Marvel Studios called him to shoot new “Fantastic Four.

The film was scheduled for release on December 22, 2023. It is noted that Paramount going to start looking for a new director immediatelybut it is not yet known if this will affect the release date.


The stage has long been trying to shoot a new part of the full-length “Star Trek”, but each time it faces different problems. The latest version of the script was prepared by writers Josh Friedman and Cameron Squires. It is expected that to their roles led by Chris Pine most of the old Enterprise crew, which debuted on the big screen in 2009, will return.
