System Shock remake has fallen in price on Steam in the US, but has risen in price in Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other countries


Netizens noticed that the company Prime Matterserving as the publisher of the upcoming remake System Shockwithout explanation, raised the cost of the game in Steam.

The change has happened yet September 2 and affected many regions, including Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Japan, Europe and so on.

Below are examples of where and how much the cost of the game has increased:

  • Ukraine – from 529 to 999 hryvnias
  • India – from 959 to 2199 rupees
  • China – from 126 to 198 yuan
  • Argentina – from 490 to 4199 Argentine pesos
  • Kazakhstan – from 5250 to 15999 tenge
  • Vietnam – from VND 350,000 to VND 790,000
  • Taiwan – from 646 to 1099 Taiwanese dollars
  • Mexico – from 412 to 899 Mexican pesos
  • Japan – from 4750 to 4999 yen
  • Saudi Arabia – from 68 to 149 riyals
  • UK – from 32 to 35 pounds
  • European Union – from 38 to 40 euros
  • South Africa – R245 to R650

At the same time, in a number of regions, the game, on the contrary, has fallen in price. Thus, in New Zealand the price decreased from 56 to 50 New Zealand dollars, in Australia – from 65 to 50 Australian dollars, and in the USA – from 45 to 40 US dollars.


In Russia, the pre-order of the updated System Shock is not available.

The remake is being produced by Nightdive Studios for PC, as well as two generations of Xbox and PlayStation, but does not yet have a release date.
