Studio Antimatter Gameswho created the multiplayer shooter Rising Storm 2: Vietnamwill be closed.

Parent company United Global 7 stated that the studio’s closure was made after exploring “various strategic options” and is likely to happen this summer.

“The group evaluated various strategic options for AMG, including employment, the sale of the studio and partnerships with third party publishers. However, these efforts did not yield sufficient results within the time frame set by the group. As a result, the board of directors decided to limit further investment in the studio and begin the process of closing it down. “.

In recent years, Antimatter Games has also been developing I.G.I. Originsreimagining the tactical shooter Project I.G.I., released in 2000. On the Steam page, the game still says “coming soon” in the release date column.

The studio was also working on an 80-player shooter called 83announced in 2019, is set in an alternate history of the conflict between NATO and Warsaw Pact forces.


At the moment, the fate of both games is unclear. EG7 only noted that has already written off IGI Origins’ intangible assets and expects this to have minimal impact on the company’s balance sheet.
