The head of Lucasfilm spoke about the future of “Indiana Jones” without Harrison Ford

As is known,”Indiana Jones and the wheel of fate“will be the latest installment in the series of adventure films where Harrison Ford will reprise his iconic role as a fedora-wearing archaeologist, but that doesn’t mean the franchise is dead.

In a recent interview, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy admitted that the universe of the Indiana Jones film franchise could well develop without the participation of Harrison Ford. for example, in the form of a series. However, there are no specific plans for this yet.

“This is the last film with Harrison. That’s how we look at the Indie franchise. We could do, for example, television series, but now nobody is trying to replace Indiana Jones,” said Kathleen Kennedy.

In the interview, the Lucasfilm president also praised Harrison Ford for his unique contribution to the film franchise as Indiana Jones, while reassuring fans that Lucasfilm has no intention of recasting the character at this time.

‘Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fortune’ hits theaters 30 June. Directed by James Mangold (“Logan”), the film stars Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook and John Rhys-Davies.
