Ubisoft plans to diversify the development of Assassin’s Creed – not every new game will be an RPG for 100 hours of gameplay

Despite the similar format of the last three parts Assassin’s Creedfuture installments of the series will take a completely different form, confirmed Ubisoft.

For example, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage, as previously reportedwill return to the format of classic games, where the emphasis will be on stealth, and RPG elements will recede into the background.

The passage of the “Mirage” will take users approximately 15-20 hours of real time in this sense, the game will be radically different from “Valhalla” and “Odyssey”, in which you could spend a hundred or more hours.

As the producer explained Ubisoft Mark Alexis-Cat, the idea of creating an Assassin’s Creed Infinity hub will allow developers to experiment and try different approaches to the development of the series.

“The Infinity format allows us to create different games in different sizes. Not every project has to be a 150 hour RPG, right?” the producer explained.

Recall that the first two projects within the Infinity hub will be Project Red, dedicated to Japan and ninjas, and Project Hexe, dedicated to Europe and the witch hunt. The first one belongs to the category “RPG for 100-150 hours”.
