Square Enix removes Denuvo anti-piracy protection from Forspoken


Square Enix removes action role-playing game from PC version The prophesied anti-tamper technology Denuvo.

For now, Denuvo is still mentioned on the Forspoken page on the Steam store, but the system has already been cut from the game, as evidenced by changes to the executable.

Denuvo was released on PC and PlayStation 5 back in January 2023, but has not been hacked by pirates since its release.. In addition, it is now possible to check whether the disputed DRM affected the performance of the game.


Previously, Square Enix also removed Denuvo from Star Ocean: The Divine Force and Triangle Strategy.
